Cinna & Portia and Capitol Supplies

Why is Cinna Katniss's stylist and why is Portia Peeta's stylist? Since Cinna is a male shouldn't he be Peeta's stylist, and shouldn't Portia be Katniss's stylist since she's female? Also, why does the Capitol have more supplies and power than all of the other districts?

    I think that this way, the stylists don't form too close of a bond. It makes it easier for the stylists if they know their tribute is going to die.

    I disagree with star, just because Cinna is a man and Katniss is a girl does not mean they cannot be friends and form a close relationship, also the stylists don't know if their tribute will win or loose. I think that the reason is that Cinna knows what the boys in the games will like and what will appeal to them.

    I agree with dancer51 because they can form a close relationship if they want to. I think that they were put with the opposite gender for a stylist for a good reason too but I can't quite put my finger on the reason but I know there has to be a reason. And the Capitol has more power and supplies because the Capitol is the place that runs all of the districts. They get cuts of all the different things that the districts create or work for. That's the reason they have more supplies and power than all of the other districts.

    I also agree with dancer51 because they can still form a relationship but I know that I thought about this question while reading too because I wondered why especially since it sayed that she got naked in front of him too. I would think that it would be more comfortable to have a girl.
