The Idea Behind THE GIRL ON FIRE?

What is the real reason behind Cinna's idea to make Katniss the girl on fire? To me, Cinna seems like a real mastermind for winning the audience over just from Katniss's outfits. But isn't strange how they only wanted Katniss to be remembered as "the girl on fire"? What about Peeta?

  1. I also wonder about Peeta being remembered, I think that Katniss being the girl on fire was to help her stand out in the viewers minds. Think about what you would think to watch a girl come out in a flaming cape, pretty impresive right? I think that maybe the capes were supposed to be for Katniss and Peeta but because Cinna is featured in the book more that Portia it stood out more for Katniss. I also think that it was important for her because she seemed to carry on the GIRL ON FIRE in the arena as well.

  2. I think Cinna was bored of the idea of dressing them as coal or miners, so he decided to do this and catch everyone's idea. I think Katniss needed the boost and Cinna knew that, so he came up with that idea to win over the crowd, since Peeta's so good at that. -star

  3. Because she was working the crowd with the holding hands, waving, and blowing kisses.
